What brand and model drives do you have installed in the NAS?
So you are running 4.1.13 on your ReadyNAS?
Note the Duo (v1) is essentially using the same CPU and memory as a product first released in 2006. Early NAS units with gigabit don't have anything like the performance of the new devices available today.

For Jumbo Frames to work, the NAS, switch and PC all need to support it, have it enabled (if there is an option to enable it) and for the Jumbo Frames implementation to be compatible amongst all the devices.
