I am using two 2 TB Seagate ST2000DM001in X-RAID mode. The drives are on the HCL for the Duo v 1. I am running RAIDiator 4.1.13.
The Jumbo Packets on the ethernet adapter on my PC was set to disabled. I enabled it and set it to 9014 bytes (the other choices are 4088 and disabled).
[Oddly enough, the Duo was still showing MTU of 7936 when JF was disabled on the PC. Maybe that was the link negotiated with the GS108?]
According to http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detai ... dapters%3F the max frame size on a GS108 (un-managed) is 9216 bytes.
Edit: I have GS108v3. According to http://www.netgear.jp/download/datashee ... 8-4903.pdf it supports Jumbo frame: up to 9,720 bytes
I restarted the PC and now the transfers are in the 7 - 9 MB/s, depending on the size of the files getting copied. Jumbo frames are on all around now.
I'll try disabling jumbo frames on both the PC and Duo tomorrow ans test transfer speed using a big file.
Tired. Must sleep now.
[Edit: must really sleep now.]
