Getting Error 0x80070027: Disk is full

You must be doing (b) and (c) over the network though, since otherwise you would not be getting a Windows error. Which means that the data is being copied to your PC and then back to the NAS.

This tells me that this is not a network issue. The filesizes is also irrelevant.
It looks to me (from the several posts I've seen on this) that it is an error in the NAS, but that it is likely network related (perhaps a bug in the CIFS stack).
