To get the benefit of Jumbo Frames you need it enabled on all devices. With a device not having Jumbo Frames enabled (e.g. a v2) having Jumbo Frames enabled e.g. on the PC if having an effect, is going to cause problems. It may not cause problems, but enabling Jumbo Frames on your PC certainly won't help.
