I am a long-time user of Readynas products and have a Duo, NV+ and now NV+ V2./ The V2 is a disaster. Every time I move large numbers of files (500 files, 500Gb) I get lots of Disk Full errors, typically 10% of file copies fail with this error even though Beyond Compare ploughs on and copies more files after errors occur. Clearly the disk is not full. I never get this problem with the Duo or the NV+. All the cables are Cat5e and the PC (Windows 7, Sandybridge i7 8Gb RAM) and the Readynas are connected via the same Gigabit switch, not a router.
Also, the NV+ V2 goes AWOL frequently, disappering off my network for no apparent reason. It won't then appear on RAIDar not will it repond to shutdown via the front pannel - I then have to resort to cutting it's throat by pulling out the power cord. This product does not seem to be market-ready!! Oh, and yes, it is fully up to date with firmway upgrades.
Any suggestions, especiaslly from Netgear personnel, would be welcome.
