Guest access / password on USB share
I have two X6 units, configured identically. I added an external USB drive share to both boxes. Both are found on my network, but both ask for a Guest password before access. I didn't set a password, ...
Thanks mdgm. I followed the linked procedure on the "empty", yet-to-be-deployed NAS, and was then able to access the USB share with the new username and password. Worked fine.
I'm curious why, after completing Step 3 for the other shares on the internal drives (as well as the USB share), I'm not prompted for user/password on the internal shares as well. Only the USB share requires authentication... I'll do further research, but any other thoughts appreciated here.
