Hang during Scrub
My 314 hung last night while doing a scrub. Solid activity light but only intermittent "clicks" of disk activity. No AFP, FTP, Web GUI or even SSH access was possible. Had to force power down.
The unit is now 60%+ through a resync, so I'm not inclined to think it's a failing HDD (knock on wood).
Can anyone think of a likely reason the system would hang so badly during a scrub?

Hi nsne,
Do you still have space in your volume? Maybe wait for the resync to finish and download the device logs so we can have a look if there's a problem with your hard drives.
Kind regards,

The resync finished uneventfully. Then I defragged and balanced. To cap it all off, I upgraded from 6.4.1 to 6.4.2, which happened to have been released in the middle of my resync.
Disk- and system-wise everything seems to be fine so far. I'll keep an eye on things and maybe attempt another scrub the next time the 314 will be idle for a period.

Hi nsne,
Thanks for the feedback. While keeping an eye in your system, why won't you give us a copy of your logs so we can investigate why the resync won't complete. Anyway, it is good to hear that the unit is running fine and up to date.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Kind regards,
BrianL
