Have I missed something fundamental with readydrop?

Hi, I have installed ready drop on my macbook and successfully synced files between my ready nas and it.

I happily installed it on my iMac with the same credentials assuming its basically like drop box. However as soon as I log on in the imac I get logged out on the macbook and vise versa.

Sort of goes against the point, or have I missed the point?

You need a separate account for each client simultaneously accessing ReadyDrop.
  • Thanks for that but how would I achieve that? I have four macs do I have to sign up to four emails somewhere?

Also it seems a little flakey, even on just one mac it frequently just disconnects. Do you find it reliable or would I be better sticking with dropbox?
  • I got the new account set up, sort of understand it now!

However just so flakey, unusable basically so I will stick with dropbox. A real shame but perhaps it will improve at some point.
  • It is fairly frustrating they didn't make this available for the Ultra X Plus or Pro series products that clearly have the horsepower to run it. I hope this comes soon.
  • Well, I just don't think it works. The trouble is they could blame my ISP, router, macs all sorts of things before they will blame flakey software.

Luckily Dropbox works, I was hoping to save a few quid but obviously not.
