HELP post power failure

Well, as the manuals all clearly say, RAID is not sufficient to protect your data from loss. Many of us have learned that the hard way (in my case before I owned a NAS). Whether RAID protection is worth the storage cost is a relevant question, and there are scenarios where "no" is a reasonable answer. A UPS is (IMHO) always worth the cost.

Anyway, the solution to every failure is not a factory reset, though fixing a kernel panic might require one.
As I suggested above, try using the front panel boot menu to skip the file system check. http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... _boot_menu If it works, make a backup!
