Here is promised Symform support?
Hi I have just upgraded my Readynas 2120 to a readynas 102. I used to have Symform installed, providing a safe free online backup in case of fire or theft. In the article https://www.readynas.com...

Hi
Sorry for the misspelling in the post - it was meant as "WHere is promised Symform support?"
The download of Symform for Readynas is here: http://www.symform.com/download/nas/
Only old devices..
But the article saying there is a symform application is from the Netgear archive. (https://www.readynas.com/index.php?s=SYMFORM)
- Search for :"the Symform Cloud Backup application that enables free online cloud backup."
Anyway - Symform works with all old Readynas devices - but not the new one.
Its true that they have been acquired.
So there is no sign of development then..?
Kind regards and happy easter

I wish that I knew about this thread sooner. Symform does work on new OS6 devices, I have it running smoothly on a RN104, so it should run on your 102 just fine. The download link can be tricky to find. You can't get it from the Netgear App Store anymore, but Symform still supports the ReadyNAS line and offers the software for manual download in their support pages (but not on their homepage, which still directs users to the Netgear App Store). Here is the link for current download of Symform: https://community.symform.com/entries/36732836-NETGEAR-ReadyNAS-ARM-Manual-software-installation-or-update
Once you download the ARM .deb installation file, go to the Apps tab on your ReadyNAS. Click "Upload" and locate the Symform.deb file. Your NAS will take about 2 minutes to install the client and then you need to spend a few moments configuring it. From then on, it's totally hands-off.
There isn't any news yet about what Quantum is going to do with the company, other than that they will be "adding features" and growing it in the future. For now, Symform continues to operate just as it did prior to being purchased, and Quantum has no announced plans to dismantle the company.
It's the most brilliant backup solution I've ever found. Long live Symform!
Hope this helps.
