HOTMAIL invites don't work

Hi folks,

I tried today to invite 3 people with Hotmail accounts, and the invites never arrived. I also tried the equivalent .outlook.com addresses, but to no avail.

Can you please look into it?

  • I tried to invite my own outlook e-mail address and I got the invitation. I even tried to share a file using the e-mail link via ReadyCloud and I got it as well.
  • I tried several times during the day, and got nothing.

    Tried once again at the night, and the invite arrived.

    Anyway, if I want to resend an invite, what should be the procedure?

    What I did is just the same procedure. If ever your NAS is on the firmware v6.2.2, here are the steps that I did:

    1. Log-in to your ReadyCloud account [the admin account]
    2. On the Home page, click your NAS and the shares will show up.
    3. Click on the drop-down arrow on the right-side of the share then click on "Share"
    4. Type the e-mail address on the field provided then click Add.
    5. Check the box whether if you want to give Read or Read/Write access then click Next.
    6. Check the box of the corresponding share that you want to set to "Anyone Access" then click Finish.

    When I sent an invite to my ...@outlook.de email-address it ended up in the Junk Mail Folder. Just in case it happened on your machine,too...

    Regarding your second question, to re-send an invite you should first go to the "Manage"-Tab on readycloud.netgear.com and delete the pending invitation. After that follow the procedure in Ixas post to send a new invitation.
