Improving TM Backup Speed on ReadyNAS NV+?
Here is what I've done to improve my TM backup speeds:
1. Enabled Jumbo Frames on my Mac and the ReadyNAS NV+
2. Disabled ALL journaling (only safe to do with a managed UPS)
3. Backup at night when everyone is off the network. (no Macs, no iPads, no iPhone, no Netflix streaming)
I tried increasing the MTU, but that option is grayed out when Jumbo Frames are selected. Is there anything else I can do to improve backup speeds?

- The NV+ (v1) is a very old model and has the same CPU as the NV which was released back in February 2006. =
For faster Time Machine backups you should consider a new ReadyNAS. The current models have much better performance than your NV+.
