this S*cks .. before i had 3 greens in it .. they had the same problem, but i could fix it with wdidle. because i wanted "compatible" harddisks, i bought 3 new RED's to replace with the greens.
It's really strange that only 1 RED has this issue. All 3 reds are 68EUZNO versions.. How can i see why the other ones don't have this issue? is there a production date somewhere? the one that is causing the issue, is bought from a different store. Might buy another one from the same store as i bought the 2 HD's which are not causing any issue.
What is advised to do? the one with the high local cycle is need to replace asap i think? This utility is not gonna fix the count. i can't return this HD right? you managed to return the HD to WD? cause the retail store won't help me with this i think.
Should i also run utility on the HD Red's without any problem? and what about support from netgear. I Guess that they still support it after using this utility? and where is the netgear communication about the issue?
