insane high Local Cycle Count after expansion

When I said that Netgear must support, I meant they will offer you support for the NAS as you are using drives on HCL. If you use drives not on HCL they can deny support for the whole device.
Unless the NAS was purchased with those drives ( which it wasn't) Netgear won't have any responsibility to deal with the lcc affected drive.

But the way, western digital have their own compatibility list. Interestingly none of the new range of readynas units is on their list of compatibility with the red drives. I think your unit is actually on the list though.
