The EnableRootSSH add-on is a very old add-on presumably built with a very old internal NetGear SDK back when there was only the sparc platform (most likely they simply made just a few small modifications to the build_addon script when making the x86 version) and thus doesn't have the "arch=nsp" for Sparc or "arch=x86" for x86 entry in the add-on header (if interested at what I mean take a look at the build_addon script in the SDK: How to develop a Frontview Add-on and also open the EnableRootSSH bin file in a text editor and look at the start of the file), so I suspected that an add-on for the wrong architecture may possibly be picked up later than it would be otherwise on some firmware versions.
