Is iTunes Streaming Server really off?

I have a ReadNAS NVX Pioneer and I'm noticing that even though I have iTunes Streaming Server unchecked it still shows up in iTunes. Is this normal behavior?

What is the output of this command:
# ls -l /etc/avahi/services
It's possible the Bonjour service for iTunes is still there, even though the daemon is not running.
