I purchased and installed the ATTO Xtend iSCSI Initiator last night and can report that performance so far has been more consistent and faster than with the latest GlobalSAN client on 10.6.8. Setup was a breeze; it took longer for them to send the serial number and activation key via email. It was definitely a lot of money, but I think it will be worth it in the long run.
