Bit late to the party, but I can attest that yes, the ATTO software works under Lion.
On my 10.6.8 MacPro using the GlobalSAN client, I can easily saturate GigE - but that's coming from an SSD and 4x 10k RPM disks in RAID0. The factory iMac 7200rpm disk is sloooowww... I'll have some faster media to copy FROM tomorrow (Pegasus R6 over Thunderbolt), and can see if the performance is as good or better using the ATTO client, but I do expect it to be. It isn't as "simple" re: interface but nothing too daunting once you get past the term differences like login (atto) = connect (globalsan) etc. So far so good, will add to this post in a day or two.
