iSCSI LUN Used Space
On a ReadyNAS 104 I have 1TB iSCSI LUN used to store backups from a Windows server. The Shares tab in the ReadyNAS GUI shows 'Used Space: 1004.5GB of 1.0TB', yet if you look at the disk from the Windows host there's only 400GB of data stored on it. The Windows host shows the drive as having '15.9GB free of 0.99TB'. Now I assumed it was full because of Snapshots, but I deleted the oldest half a dozen snapshots and the Used Space indicator hasn't changed at all. Is it snapshots taking up the space, and why don't I see the Used Space value change when they are deleted? Are they simply marked for deletion and actually get deleted at a later stage? Thanks.

personally, I don't think it's snapshot taking the space.
