Does the Ultra. RNDU4000 support Apple iTunes Server?

The Ultra runs FireFly to provide iTunes Server services. It has a GUI option to enable/disable under Services>Streaming Services.

Way can't Thayer have it on NV V2

Like mdgm said, the core functionality is there, but not exposed in the GUI at this time. Maybe with enough people requesting it, they will add it in a future firmware release. Until then, maybe one of the add-on devs can make a quick add-on to toggle/configure it.

I agree that it does in fact say iTunes support. Although I also found the following information on the same page:
Home › Service Providers › Products › Storage › Residential / Soho

These units are provided by certain Service Providers, and these are not sold in regular shops.



Yes I see the text on the homepage. And it does indeed state it supports iTunes, which is incorrect, atleast at this given time.

So they are claiming the NV+ v2 is only sold by service providers? Someone needs retraining.

It seems there are some issues with the posting on netgear.com at this time. I will work with the guy that works on these pages to clear some of this up.

I am going to request to change nas to a nas that does support iTunes server, I feel like cheated by wrong information about my nas

Ya those typically copy the Technical Specifications page from netgear.com, which still incorrect lists the feature available.
