Lion + Readynas Duo (beta) + Time Machine = FAIL??

Note that as of Lion, you have to use the Time Machine service on the ReadyNAS (as well as 4.1.8). If you were using the old method of storing your backups on other shares, Lion won't see them.
4.1.8 updates the Time Machine service on the ReadyNAS to support Time Machine under Lion. Reports on the T9 beta seem fairly good; it's unclear to me whether there are any outstanding issues.
There is a way to make other shares support Time Machine, but it's unsupported and requires manual tinkering with configuration files on the NAS. I don't want to use it for everyday use, but if I were stuck unable to restore, I'd consider it: see here for details.
