Loosing Connection To NAS

I have a strange issue where when im installing something using the NAS as its storage location the installer will just stop randomly. I can install that same application locally and it works just fine. I am using an iSCSI connection so I dont know if the ready NAS is terminating a connection someplace. The drive never loose connection from to the OS from what I can see so I am not sure whats going on.

Hi ice2921, if the installer needs to write any kind of data to the nas while conducting the installation and does not have appropriate rights to write, but only rights to read, that could very well happen.

So I would check the network and file access rights of the user account you are using to perform these installations and assign write privileges, if necessary.

    Kind regards

I don't think its a permissions issue I can do anything I want to the drive as the same user and I have installed other programs. The problem seems to be with larger programs that also have to download information from the internet to install.
