Lost access to ReadyNas Duo
Hi,
I am trying to access my ReadyNas Duo with no success so far.
In Raidar I found it in 192.168.0.12, but when I try https://192.168.0.12/admin nothing happens.
Also, in finder, trying afp://192.168.0.12 does not connect.
It used to work well, but I haven't used the ReadyNas Duo for a while and I have updated my OS to Mountain Lion.
I read that some people have fixed the same problem fixing the firmware, but I don't know how to update the firmware without the web access.
Any idea?
Thanks

- vandermerweMasterDo you have another device from which you could try accessing the interface - PC, iPad etc ?
Have you rebooted the duo and the mac? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserWhat firmware is the duo running?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIs the firmware version shown under the Info (far right) column in RAIDar or something else?
- fredguthAspirantI don't know which firmware is running. And now the RAIDAR is not finding it anymore.
I have booted both the NAS and the Mac. I have an Ipad, but have no clue on how to access NAS interface with it. (I am a total newbie).
The power button led is on and not blinking.
Led 1 is blinking.
Led 2 is on and not blinking. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIs there a faster/slower pattern to the blinking, or is it just steady?
- fredguthAspirantsteady.
(now, the power button LED is off). - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserAbout how old is the NAS? Are you still using the original disk drives?
- fredguthAspirant2 or 3 years old (Duo v1).
I am using original drives. - vandermerweMaster1. Depending on age the unit may still be under warranty.
2. The initial led pattern you had indicated a problem with disk 1, I believe. I am not sure why the power LED has now gone off though.
3. It may be worth powering down and testing disk 1 using the disk manufacturers' tools. If there is a problem with it, it'll obviously need replacing.
4. If still under warranty you should also contact support. - fredguthAspirantI removed both disks and reinserted them. Now the raidar detects them again, but the message is Bad disks detected :-(
