Mac files stored on NV+ via CIFS have chmod 100
I have a ReadyNAS NV+ running 4.1.10. If I copy a file from Windows to a share on the NAS using CIFS, its "everyone" permissions are set to read/write, as I configured and expected. (chmod 777) ...

Have you made sure that on the AFP tab you have read/write access set and also check the advanced permissions on both the AFP and CIFS tab to make sure they have full read/write access.
