The units on the volume page are TiB (1024*1024*1024*1024 bytes).
It looks to me like the TM units are GB (1000*1000*1000 bytes). 17986.45 GB is the same as 16.36 TiB.

Thank you for pointing that out. I suppose the issue then is should Netgear correct the label for the units on the volume page to reflect the proper units, in this case, they are "TiB" and not "TB" as it is currently stated and update the TM units to also be TiB or GiB for consistency throughout the device.

Most PCs call it TB when they are using TiB. Disk manufacturers use TB and call it TB. It can be a bit confusing at first and if we said TiB people would contact us wondering what TiB is.

Instead people keep asking why their 4x4TB config only has 10.9 TB of storage. It's confusing no matter what you do, but if you use TiB anyone googling would get reasonable answers.
