Migrating Disk From Old ReadyNAS to New ReadyNAS

It isn't supported, but I haven't seen any posting on bricked units.
Overall, my personal take is
OS4 - tried and true, lots of features
OS5 - never really finished, and never will be
OS6 - going forward.
