Milestone Arcus CCTV at April 2018
Just successfully set her up, down loaded Milestone Arcus. Problems:
-at download it said te app is no longer supported, is this the case for all circumstances, eg only the free/single camera download?
-in Milestone arcus it will locate my ONVIF camera either auto find (wont populate many settings) and manual (populatees most settings but wont connect when I do my best at filling in the settings)
Camera is a Hikvision: DS-2CD2142FWD-I
-anyone offer advice
---should the app still be functional?
---know a good help source to explain the camera settings?

Netgear deprecated the service, so you shouldn't be using it.
One option is to use a PC (using the NAS only for storage). Several folks here like Blue Iris.

Ive just invested in this NAS on the basis it can be used to host the CCTV. As indicated by current sales info. Sales tactics are beyond belief sometimes! So now I have 2 ReadyNAS both of which dont run a proper CCTV service are are thus over specced.
I dont want to fire up a 24-7 PC, only way that would work is if I could run the app on a a Pi. Nah.
