Mixing disks of different sizes

Hi. My current setup is 3x 4TB Western Digital Red disks in JBOS format. I've absolutly no concern about data loss.   So, I'm just looking to get a 4th disk and wondering if I can fit a WD Red 6TB ...

    I think you mean JBOD.  Do you have one volume for each disk?  Or just one volume altogether?

     

     

    You can certainly add the larger disk as its own volume, and get full use of the space.

     

    I'm not sure if you can add a disk to an existing jbod volume - not something I've tried (or want to do).  I stick with one disk per volume with jbod.
