MKV showing as MPEG via DLNA
Hi, I purchased the Netgear NV+V2 NAS, I have copied a few MKV's and M2TS files to test it works via my Sony BDP 490, now the MKV files wont play, interestingly these files show up as MPEG on the blu-...

You could try remuxing the MKV with the current version of mvkmerge GUI. This is part of the mkvtoolnix package; there is a link here: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVtoolnix
Go into options and check "disable header compression removal for audio and video tracks by default".
Thanks, I'll give that a go, I have also emailed netgear about this. Hopefully they will sort it.
Edit: that didn't work, here's the settings I used:
set compression to none for the audio aswell.
