MKV's unsupported to PS3
MKV's show up on my samsung TV, but on the ps3 they say unsupported. Is this to be expected? I see other notes here where people say MKV's work, but none of mine do. I'm running 4.2.19 on a PRO6. A...
Well, just to be clear, there are entries for the MKV's, they just show as unsupported format. The ps3mediaserver will play them to the PS3 and CPU is really low so I don't think it is transcoding. Also, I see several notes like this one: viewtopic.php?f=76&t=54398&p=320211&hilit=mkv+duo#p320211 that seem to contradict what you are saying. I did find something on the net that said to completely rename the file and use a different suffix because the PS3 just doesn't know about that file type, but fully supports most of the encodings used in MKV files. I'll have to try that later today.
