moving data from legacy Ultra4+ to new RN526
I have a working Ultra4+, considering purchasing a new RN526 to replace the old machine. What's the easist way to move all my data from Ultra4+ to the new RN526? so it would retain all idential part...
You won't be able to retain settings. The new NAS is running a new OS, you'll have to configure it from scratch.
Then use rsync to transfer the data, and apply the permissions as desired.
