Moving HDs from NV+ to NV104 or 214
I currently have to NAS a NV+ (who's power supply just stopped working) and a happy 104. I would like to replace and upgrade the NV+ but I was wondering if I would be able to take the drives from th...

(a) If you have an NV+ v2, you'll need to get a used v2. Similarly with a v1.
(b) Many used NAS aren't functional.
If you have a spare disk, you can insert that into the replacement NV+ first, and then make sure it is running the same firmware that is on your current NV+

You can't directly migrate the disks, but with an assist from support you can mount them read-only on the RN214. See http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29875
