Moving Pro onto a new network
Hi,
Hoping this is the right category to post in.
I just moved to a new office and moved my ReadyNAS Pro with me. When I hook it up it prompts me to use the wizard to set it up, which I should do given my lack of knowledge about how this all works. My question is whether the wizard will erase the old data, or just reconfigure the ReadyNAS to connect to the new network and allow me to access the stored data.
Thanks!

- vandermerweMasterWhat firmware is running on the pro6?
Do you have a backup?
If the unit was up and functional on another LAN , it seems strange that it should want to run a setup process. I would have thought it should just get itself an IP address and work. - Marto731AspirantDcfawcett,
This sounds to me that the NAS was on a Static IP on the previous
location.
Can you do an OS reinstall. This does not affect data.
Make sure DHCP is available. This means that a device will pick
up a 192.168.xx.yy IP address.
Regards, Marto
