My Work run a ReadyNas system...
my work run a Ready Nas 426 but we have new employee who works from home, is there a way for him to access the system like he was connected inside the office?

The only way he can use it "like he is in the office" is via a VPN. But if he is new and has never actually been "in the office", then ReadyCloud is certainly an option for secure remote access and the easiest to set up.
One thing to consider is that a ReadyCloud user and a local user are not the same user from the ReadyNAS's perspective. That is most important if he will ever be coming into the office and will be using a home folder, but also important to know for user access settings.
