mysqld installed contains slimserver database
I was poking around my Pro 6 last night cleaning up some packages left over from some installations I had done. I noticed that mysql client and server is installed and I don't remember installing them...

My question is why this is there?
It's left over from the days when Slimserver (later called SqueezeCenter, now called Logitech Media Server) used MySQL by default. Current versions of the software now use SQLite by default, but I guess Netgear never got around to removing the database.
It won't hurt anything to leave it in, especially if you don't run mysqld anyway.
[Edit: Sorry, markwoll. Somehow didn't see your response before I posted mine.]
