nas pauses at welcome screen

I am noticing sometimes my readynas314 stops at welcome screen with the power button blinking blue. I then press and it reboots fine. This doesn't happen often but recollect happens once a month or once little over a month. I bought this 2014.
I also have a usb hub connected to it which has two passport type ext hd and the third one is a sabrent 3.0 docking which houses 2x 3tb hdd. I wanted to mention this since the new docking station setup i am noticing this behavior. Even though i did notice this happenning prior to this setup but may be lesser occurrence.

My question is
Is there a hardware fail or possibly one in process how can i assess and remediate it?
Or is this setup of usb hub that is causing this

Many thanks for your inputs.love to get some insight.

You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk). (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)

Many questions apply to different types of device, so there may be useful responses here, but the ReadyNAS 300 has nothing in common with a router. You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

ReadyNAS Network Storage: Official NETGEAR Community

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

You could try downloading the full log file zip, and looking for errors in there.   There might not be anything at the time of failure (since the system apparently hung), but there might be some at other times.

You could run the disk test from the volume settings wheel, and see what it reports.  If you've never run the other maintenance functions (balance and scrub) you might want to run them (one at a time) after the disk test completes.

I think the only way to see if the USB gadgets are triggering this is to disconnect them.  But if the failures are only ~once a month it would take a long time to confirm.

Yes i download the full log and review diskinfo and smart history log for errors so far i have not seen any. Is there a anything else i can review.

Yes i also run all maintemance tools on a periodic basis dont see any flags there either.

I am suspecting the usb connections but cannot prove that. But one of the passports connected occasionally becomes read only then i have to connect it to my win pc and do a scan and fix process.i have checked this passport for errors and its in good condition. I am totally lost.
