Which firmware are you running?
Is the LUN thin/thick?
Is bit-rot protection enabled/disabled?
Do you have snapshots enabled?
Are Sync Writes enabled/disabled?

Also, it would be useful to include read results, not just writes.
Maybe after you respond to mdgm's queries you could try a direct connect test?
Connect the ethernet cable directly between the NAS and the apple PC (no crossover is needed).
If the NAS is using dhcp, then it will default to 192.168.168.168. You'd need to temporarily set a compatible address on the Mac (for instance 192.168.168.100).
Then repeat the test (using IP addresses, not device names).
