Is there another way to factory reset the chassis? I know the data on my storage drives is ok. I have been using it fine until the accidental power plug incident.
When it won't boot up normally, the two ways are to
- insert unformatted disks and power up
- use the front panel boot procedure
You might want to read through the boot menu procedure as described in the hardware manual - I find the manual writeup is often bit clearer than the knowledge base articles. It's on page 24-25 here: http://www.readynas.com/download/documentation/HM/ReadyNAS_Duov2_NV+v2_HW_en_19-Sept-11.pdf
Another thought is that if your NAS is set up to use DHCP you might want to check your router to see if the NAS is shown there. RAIDar should be seeing it, but in some cases it can fail - esp. if there is internet security software installed on the PC. Some wifi networks filter out some broadcast packets, so you could also try RAIDar using a wired ethernet connection to the router.
