New laptop wont connect to netgear readynas
Hello and thanks in advance for your assistance.
Situation is this:
- I have a Netgear ReadyNas (RN10400) which is connected via cable to the router
- When I set it up, I mapped the folders...

Hey Bedlam thank you for your reply
IP for the NAS is 192.168.0.7
IP for the laptop is IPv4 10.0.0.9
(I followed these instructions) - https://kb.netgear.com/20878/Finding-your-IP-address-without-using-the-command-prompt .... running windows 10 on a wireless connection

You need to change the IP Address on your laptop to 192.168.0.xxx
xxx being a number not already used in your network.

Hey Bedlam, I googled how to do that and started to add in but it's also asking for a default gateway ... how do I know what to put here (google wasnt helpful sorry).
Also, as part of my troubleshooting, I checked the PC and the old laptop that can see the NAS and they do not have a 192.168 IP address ... they too have ones like 10.0.0.19
