New NAS, securitymode = SHARE, can't accesss
I've got my new NV+ (RMA warranty replacement) running with a new XRAID using 4x 2TB RED drives. I have it set in share security mode. New shares I create can not be accessed from my Windows XP PC...
That link says 4.1.10; I'm not seeing that. Anyway, old sparc releases are here: https://www.readynas.com/?cat=8
You no longer get share mode for new installs (or factory defaults). If you already have it enabled, then it remains. I'm not sure if that makes it "unsupported" or not. Though from the thread above, they ran into issues with newer versions of windows, and decided they needed to remove it.
