New ReadyNAS Firmware 5.3.8, is it any good?

I have already been through the support process, my support number was 20056631, and in the end they had to admit that they could not help me.
I believe that there is a bug (or two) in the Dashboard GUI and in the RAIDiator 5.3.7 firmware, from my research I believed WinXP Pro SP3 O/S worked perfectly with Frontview, the first ReadyNAS GUI. However, since the release of the ReadyNAS Duo 2, which came with Dashboard and RAIDiator 5.3.7, changes were introduced by Netgear without proper testing.
And as a new customer, I was unaware of the problems until I bought my ReadyNAS Duo 2 and had to find out the hard way.
However, I am not too bitter because the ReadyNAS hardware is excellent but it has been royally let down by the software and firmware that came with it.
