No faster than 13.5 megabytes/second?
Hi everyone. I'm getting relatively slow speeds from my Netgear ReadyNAS Duo. I have a current-generation 13" MacBook Pro (the better model with the i7 CPU), which uses a 750 gig Toshiba MK7559GSX...
The NAS is running RAIDiator 4.1.8, which appears to be the latest.
My Mac is running OS X 10.7.3, which is the latest.
Right now I transferred 1.96 gigs to and from the NAS in RAID 0 over CIFS, through the switch:
From the NAS to the Macintosh : 10.3 megabytes/sec
From the Macintosh to the NAS : 11.5 megabytes/sec
I also performed the same experiment using my Windows PC.
From the PC to the NAS: 12.5 megabytes/sec
From the NAS to the PC: 25.5 megabytes/sec
