ok. that was going to be my last resort since i have nearly 2tb backed up on this drive and it takes a few days for that to get copied onto the external. But i think you might be right in just doing that, especially since i already have 1 back up copy. Then i dont have to waste anymore time, yours or mine, trying to figure this out. Of course unless this happens again after i reformat!
