No write access on backup-up of my shares
I have a Readynas NV+ which died suddenly, and probably permanently, this evening. May it rest in peace. The shares were configured with "share" security, which was fine when I bought and configured...

Thanks very much, StephenB!
My share backups to my new external drive completed overnight, so I'll set the share permissions on the Readynas shares when I get home this evening.
From your note, I gather I can just accept the Frontview default owner, group, etc, and simply click the check box, then Apply? (I don't have Frontview in front of me now, but as I recall there were a bunch of choices to be made regarding ownership, etc). Again, I don't need granular control over permissions - any user that has the password to mount the share should have full read, write etc access
