Not Redundant Message after Boot

I'm having the same issue with my ReadyNas NV+ v2. I've had it a long time but just ignored the error only as long as I don't reboot, I have 2 x 2TB WD HD's in it, giving me an 2TB array that was redundant, Raid1. I've hardly used this NAS since I got it over a year ago and just assumed I was setting it up wrong?

Once booted back up, it shows that the volume is "not redundant", but its not saying why, there's no errors from any of the disks that I can see, and works fine when completely rebuilt, so I can assume no problem with HDs

Unfortunately the NAS is not connected to the internet, so updates etc are difficult.

I only want to have some protection against HD failures.

Can anyone advise please, it must be something simple I'm not doing or setting up?

I'd begin by backing it up!

Do you know for sure this is a v2? The labels are misleading - check this guide: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/

If you do have a v2, and are the original purchaser, then you are still entitled to netgear support (warranty is 3 years, and the v2 hasn't been out that long). So you could enter a support request at support.netgear.com. They would probable need remote access to the unit.
