NV+ died, can I just install disks into a Pro 6?
Hi! My old trusty NV+ didn't survive a recent move - it's as dead as a doornailed dodo, won't power up at all. Since it's out of warranty, I'm thinking of replacing it with a ReadyNAS Pro 6, but...

be aware, that there are 2 types of duo/nv+ and you can not rely on just v1 or v2.
There are sparc cpu which are the original duo/nv/nv+ and have raidiator 4.x firmware.
There are new ARM cpu which are the current generation and use version 5.x firmware.
These differnt types are NOT compatibile with each others disks.
So if you are looking for a replacement device, you must ensure you get the same type of cpu if you want to reuse the same disks and lose any data.
