NV+ doesn't respond few secondes after boot
Hi !
I own a Netgear NAS NV+ version 1.
It's plugged directly to my computer (no switch or router).
Since this week-end, I can't use it anymore :
1) I switch it on, It make a quota check, then wait for an IP.
2) the 4 leds are green
3) I can see the NAS in my Explorer or with RADar
4) after few secondes the NAS don't respond : sometimes I had the time to copy somes files or open Frontview.
5) after I can't access to my files and RAIDar doesn't find it anymore
Any idea ?
Thanks !!

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserWhat firmware are you running? Is rootenablessh installed?
One possibility is a filling OS partition. If you can get into frontview (briefly) you can try deleting the logs - which should free up some space. Don't attempt to download.
If ssh is available there are better ways to check OS partition fullness. - mandallazAspirantHi,
Thanks for your reply.
It's using RAIDiator 4.1.10.
Rootenablessh is not installed.
Perhaps I can try an OS reinstall by the boot menu ?
M. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIf you have any access to frontview it is best to try deleting the logs before you try the OS reinstall.
- mandallazAspirantWell, I didn't manage to delete the logs, so I reinstalled the OS and it's work fine.
I was able to get back all my importants files.
The last question is : should I throw my NAS away and buy another or keep it ? - vandermerweMasterDelete the logs anyway.
Whether you get a newer, faster nas or not, don't throw the NV+ away. it will make a good backup nas. - mandallazAspirantOK thanks !
