NV+ problem when upgrading drives.
As of a couple days ago my NV+ had 4 Seagate 750GB drive in an X-Raid. Over the past couple days I've been replacing these with 2TB WD Reds. The first 3 when in, initialized and copied data without ...
So got everything working from the looks of it. Here is what I did just in case anyone else comes across this.
I pulled the plug on the ReadyNAS again and restarted and held down the power button until the LCD stated it was going to skip the File System check. This still froze while booting so I had to pull the plug again.
This time I removed drive 4 which I suspected something was wrong with and booted to skip the FS check. The system booted up fine. I took a backup of the configuration and got some of the critical files off and reinserted drive 4 again. It started resyncing the data again and a few hours later I have a fully redundant raid again. I did note that at one point I seemed to lose access to the web interface for a little bit. After a bit I opened RAIDar and it found the NAS and seemed to give me access again at the same time.
