NV+ sudden HD capacity drop - disk full
Hello
I have a strange capacity issue with my NAS: the free volume has suddenly dropped to zero. A week ago the current volume was 54% full, no file was added but today it is 100% full.
As I'm on Mac, only afp is used. I cannot see any duplicated files or hidden files, the system logs don't give any useful information about this either.
I would like to find an utility software for HD capacity check.
Any idea how to fix it ?
NB: I have already experienced a similar issue and had to erase completely the NAS, rebuilt it and recover the content from the USB back-up disk.
My configuration:
ReadyNAS NV+
RAIDiator 4.1.7 [1.00a043]
memory 256 Mo [2.5-3-3-7]
RAID 5, 4 disks (500 GB each), 99% of 1379 GB used

- cenktukelAspirantI have the same problem and it started when my logs started to report that back-up job failed... I have a USB attached storage to my NV+ for scheduled back-ups.
Interestingly, my USB connected HD has enough space. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat version of RAIDiator?
- cenktukelAspirant4.1.8
My issue is exactly same as zopp's above. - cenktukelAspirantI have the below error - which I believe is the culprit. I have a HDD attached via USB for automated back-ups. It was working all beautiful until recently and I dont know what triggered the issue.
Error message (copied from the log) - I do have a Job 2 back up scheduled.
Error encountered copying data from source path ==> /USB_HDD_6_2/Back up NV due to lack of disk space. [Job 002]
BUT I DONT HAVE USB_HDD_6_2... I only have USB_HDD_1 and _2 - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSuggest you open a tech support (http://www.ReadyNAS.com/support) case.
