NV+ to Netgear DGND3700 N600 DLNA??
Hi there..
Is there any way that I can connect my readynas NV+ to the netgear router via USB so that the router can act as the DLNA server.
The NV+ is the flakiest method of streaming I have found on my LG Smart TV.
The network connections are solid but the streaming just dies several times during movies etc...
I was hoping that the router would be more stable.
I have connected the two things together using a rear USB slot on the NAS and a USB slot on the router. It works with a stand alone HDD but not the NAS.
TIA
Tony

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNo. The ReadyNAS is not a USB peripheral: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/hardware/can_i_attach_the_readynas_to_a_usb_port_on_the_pc
The ReadyNAS is a NAS (Network Attached Storage) not DAS (Direct Attached Storage) - tccackAspirantI see. That explains it....
Is there a way I can map the NAS ip to the router itself so that the router thinks its attached in a way that will allow it to scan the media and serve it up? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThat's an interesting feature idea for the routers, but no (none that I know of).
